the climb phase
this is my n-th attempt to write a decent post. lets hope it works this time, alright.
so yeah, hi people. how's your ramadhan? to be perfectly honest, i feel terrible when i logged into my fb and saw countless feeds about people enjoying their ramadhan, going for tarawih together, going for religious talks, gathering for iftar, trying out various masjids to listen to the imams, tempting to wake up early dawn to be alone with Allah etc. (ok did i just copy the status from my fb feeds?). how lucky you guys, masya Allah. its not like i dont enjoy ramadhan this time, i just feel terrible because well maybe i dont have the chance to have iftar with dear family and friends. or eager to go to masjid. haih. im counting days to be back home. do you know im not gonna have weekend for this week and next week? its just crazy, right. ok i know doctors are crazier, but oh man im not a doctor. give me some break lah.
its still early ramadhan. the 3rd day, in fact. in phases of flight, this is like the climb phase. the phase when you are doing the take-off. where you have to push the gear to TO/GA mode, and you'll get the throttle full. where you're gonna generate the maximum thrust in order to lift off. just so you can pass some barrier and fly to the sky. er actually my point is, the early phase is where we put the maximum effort just to keep enough momentum to go through all the phases later. so its gonna be like, during cruise phase (or during the middle of the month), we can easily engage the auto-pilot and the auto-thrust modes. we dont need to create another momentum to keep us going. simply because we are currently going. way to go guys!
lets keep going, alright?

as per this moment, i still couldnt get myself to sleep. i'm so getting used to not sleeping at night. alhamdulillah tonight my schedule finished early, around 3am. oh actually i'm waiting for my sahur to come knocking at my door. so today i have the opportunity to have a decent in-room sahur provided by the hotel, and not just some energy bars and chocs and plain water in the pantry at the training center. working with marc (my work buddy) has taught me a lot. one major point is how to be calm. how to not getting panic easy. and how to control our reaction when awful situations arise. and most importantly, how to breathe. i gotta learn a proper breathing technique i know its gonna do me wonder.
btw work's good alhamdulillah. but its so tiring and so exhausting to the point that i forgot how much i used to love aircrafts. haih. there's gotta be more to life than work. yup, there definitely is. btw i'm working at Singapore International Airlines training center for 2 weeks to do some snag clearance (kira fix bugs la) on their boeing 777 sim. its completely new to me cos all this while ive been working on an a320 (airbus) and suddenly now its boeing. there's a lot to learn. the systems are completely different. may Allah make this easy for me, insyallah.

and singapore city is not too bad. most places here are lively and packed even on weekdays. i wonder how many malay populations exist in singapore because from the places that ive been, i cant see too many. in some shopping malls, there's almost none.
one of the few places i've been is clarke quay. and it was really nice mcm perasaan kat oversi pulak. like ok apehal sume org putih je. yesterday the 4 of us went to clarke quay for buka puasa. us = shawn and his wife, me and marc. we had thai cuisine and it was terrible. bibik masak lagi sedap T_T. shawn and his wife came for a short 2days trip to Singapore Airlines. so while he's here he wanted to treat me buka puasa la. here's the 4 of us. a bit blurry because the waitress didnt focus first before snapping. ah nvm.
