After being thrown by Amru for the 3463th time, my phone decided to refuse to switch on, on the very first morning of 2013.

I so sad. My phone is a tough piece of metal, its been thrown all over the places since day 1. And its been a year.

Sekian kisah sedih.

Happy new year. Never thought of having it somewhere other than home. I miss home already huhu.

This town was so silent last night as if the people forgot that it was the last day of 2012. Maybe they thought it wasn't a big deal going into a new year. Which is sort of correct. Can't help but feeling a bit odd because from where I came from when January 1st embarks all I could hear outside was the bursts of fireworks. But it was a good thing though because otherwise maybe Amru could not sleep well last night :)

Today my husband still goes to work as usual. No public holiday for the new year. Haha. Or maybe it's just his shipyard. There's a small surau nearby which he usually goes, its about 10 minutes walk from our apartment. The jemaah are the Uzbeks working for the shipyard. They don't speak English. They came to korea and learnt Korean. Just like the Bangladeshis when they came to Malaysia and learnt and spoke Malay to us. The Uzbeks are good people. They prayed sunat before and after each prayer. And it's not just two rakaats, it's 4 rakaats before and after each prayers! And after Isya they would gather in a circle and do little tafsir Quran and discuss about something after. Sometimes they would ask my husband to lead the prayer, and sometimes one of them does. Their Quran recitation is so good. The makhraj, the tajwid and the tones are all good. The official imam of that musolla is a Pakistani, he owned a diner here, if I'm not mistaken.

Simple new year's eve fluorescent light dinner :D

One day I woke up in the morning and saw all places covered in snow. That is our apartment at my back. My husband siap patah balik drpd ofis ajak main snow haha. Rupenye haritu cuti sebab semua org takleh gi keje. Goeje rarely snows this heavy so the people weren't prepared. Ye itu muke bangun tidur yang jakun :p

Kalau takde snow tempat ni biase je mcm pekan2 haha. This is in front of our aparte. 

Lepas penat main snow pegi breakfast waffle kat Ringpang, our favorite coffee shop. This was when we discussed about mengembala kambing secara serius. Masing2 tak larat nak keje ngan orang dah hahaha
