Maybe we just want to survive the storm.

Maybe then, we pray, "please, God, just get me to the other side". We never imagine what it'll be like when we get there. Is it all sunny?

What if, when the storm passes, nothing is left?

Ironically, that's not what Allah has promised. Allah has promised that when the storm passes, there will be sunshine and rainbow. The explanation of Surah An-Nasyrah is deeper on this.

Afterall, the state of a believer is beautiful in anyway. Everything is good for him. When good befalls him, he is thankful and that is good for him. And when bad befalls him, he is patient and that is also good for him (Muslim). And Allah is All-knowing, All-Wise.

So if you stay close to Allah, no matter what happens, IT IS GOOD. And Allah promises you something else as well.

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.” (24:55)

The key is, stay close.
